I'm going to try and combine more weird people that I have seen in Santa Monica with normal images of the places where I have been hanging out since I've been here. I saw this guy walking out by the beach in venice, his dog was from The Coffee Bean today, and this is the grassy hill near main street.

How to Make a Swelter

Okay so this is super rough because I didn't spend much time actually making this video or describing what it involves, but this shows how I approached creating my second year film (since several people asked about it). It goes from the animatic version, to the rough animation, to 'cleanup', and then through a few levels of after effects stuff.

Funny Faces

Visual Development

I used Lisa Keene's Hansel and Gretel assignment this year to simultaneously develop the look of my second year film. They ended up feeling pretty different, but the ideas are similar.
